Former England captain Martin Corry has warned Stuart Lancaster's side not to panic in the wake of their last-gasp defeat to Wales.
England led for virtually the entire match at Twickenham on Saturday, only to see Dan Biggar's brilliant boot punish them for a succession of penalties as Warren Gatland's side triumphed 28-25.
That leaves Lancaster's men needing to beat Australia this Saturday to keep alive their hopes of a quarter-final place and Corry has urged them to remain calm.
"My message to the team is don't panic, keep your nerve," he told the Mirror.
Corry will be familiar with the scrutiny currently falling on Chris Robshaw and his team, having seen his England side destroyed 36-0 by South Africa in the pool stages in 2007.
That squad, which also included England coaches Andy Farrell and Mike Catt, recovered from that humiliating reverse to reach the final in France – which they lost 15-6 to the Springboks.

Former Leicester Tigers flanker Corry sees parallels between the two campaigns, but believes the current crop have less to do to turn things around.
"There is a parallel between us and them in that we too were in a hole, playing knockout rugby the third week in," Corry added.
"But we'd had an -absolute humiliation. We came away from that game knowing we had to make fundamental changes to the way we play.
"Whereas all this team has to do I believe is tighten up on a couple of areas. We were properly in panic mode.
"These guys, when you look at it rationally, should not be. We were at rock bottom, this team isn't.
"It's a very different scenario. England should have won that game by 15 points. It's not a revolution they need now, it's a couple of minor adjustments."
