The Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens has launched the Partner Schools Programme with the aim of encouraging students to live a healthy lifestyle.

More than 3,000 pupils from 18 schools, including GEMS Wellington Academy, will be involved in the new initiative.

The programme, through academic and sporting activities, will motivate the children to get involved in different sports and teach them how exercise can have a positive impact on their well-being.

With plenty of teams competing in the prestigious tournament from December 3 to 5, the programme’s activities will also include how rugby is played as well as a guide to the participating nations and players in the tournament.
