Judges David Hunt and Alison Abrahams judged the competitions. Hunt, a legendary trainer and member of the Judges Supervisory Board at the Olympics and World Cup competitions, is the only British rider to have been shortlisted to the Olympics on three different horses.

The EEF affiliated dressage competition, at the newly-opened Riding School at the Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club attracted competitors from all over the nation, being the largest dressage competition of the season so far.

Habtoor Al Habtoor, Deputy Chairman of the Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club lead the prize-giving ceremony and said: “I am happy to see people be so enthusiastic about this competition.”

Neil Abrahams, Head of Racing, Dressage and Events in the EEF, was the stewarding the competition making sure everything was exactly as it should be.

“It is a wonderful facility here at Al Habtoor, great arenas and very well organised. I look forward to seeing how this club will elevate the sport in the region,” he said.

The 8 competing classes, from Intro to PSG brought in 36 riders, some competing in several classes resulting in 63 entries.

Mohammed Al Habtoor, Chairman of the Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club, is an avid polo player and has helped bring international-standard polo competitions to Dubai, which have elevated the city to a world-class polo destination.

“Horses have been a big part of my life for many years, playing polo is one of my biggest passions,” said Mohammed Al Habtoor. “But the Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club is not just about polo.
