Peter Crouch says he is still hungry for goals following his surprise deadline-day return to the Premier League with Burnley.
The 38-year-old former England striker has agreed a short-term deal with the Clarets after Stoke agreed a deal that also sees Wales forward Sam Vokes move in the opposite direction.
Crouch, whose previous clubs include Tottenham, Liverpool and Aston Villa, has scored 108 goals in 462 top-flight games throughout his career and is keen to add to the tally.
“I still want to achieve things,” Crouch told Burnley’s website. “I want to get more games in the Premier League and I would love to add to the 100 Premier League goals. I feel like the older I get, the more hungry I get.”
Vokes, 29, has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with the Championship Potters.
Elsewhere, Crystal Palace were close to clinching a loan deal for Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi, according to reports.
Michy Batshuayi spent the second half of last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund.
The 25-year-old, who spent the first half of the campaign at Valencia, had been linked with Everton, West Ham, Tottenham and Real Betis at different stages of the day.
