Pakistan fast bowler Sohail Tanvir was fined 15 per cent his match fee for making an obscene gesture during the match against St Kitts & Nevis Patriots in the Caribbean Premier League.
Tanvir, playing for Guyana Amazon Warriors, bowled Patriots’ Cutting after being hit for a six. After castling Cutting with a yorker, Tanvir showed the departing batsman two middle fingers, which resulted in outrage on social media.
Left-arm quick Tanvir accepted the sanction that was handed down to him by match referee Denavon Hayles.
