  • Mohammad Abbas picked up 10 wickets in the Test as Pakistan crushed Australia by 373 runs on day four of the Abu Dhabi Test to win the series 1-0.

Despite the absence of regular skipper and wicketkeeper Sarfraz Ahmed, who was out after receiving a blow to the head while batting, the hosts made a strong start with seamer Abbas wrecking the Aussie top order in the first hour.

Australia began the day at 47-1, with Travis Head not out on 17 and Aaron Finch on 24, chasing an unlikely target of 538.

They were soon reduced to 77-3 and then 78-5 with Abbas picking up all four wickets to fall.

Thereafter, leg-spinner Yasir Shah picked up two wickets as the Aussies fell to 151-7. In the post lunch session, Abbas dismissed Marnus Labuschagne to pick up his second five-wicket haul of the match. Shah picked up the ninth wicket in the form of Jon Holland and with Usman Khawaja injured, Pakistan won the game.
